Splash A Little Smash!

Cold Pressed Juice

SMASH Juice & Cocktail Tasting
Yoo On The Park
Rob Green
Bartender and Award-Winning Mixologist
Chef Melissa Pelkey Hass' Paired Bites

What was I really looking forward to for weeks? Well, that would be this event. I know Chef M's talents so this wasn't my first rodeo. Then of course there's Rob Green's juices, this too... not my first rodeo. They teamed up some months back at Leaning Ladder and delighted a group of us bloggers with cuisine and cocktails paired with Toppers Rhum; so I totally knew this would be a delicious hit. BTW... they're a permanent team, but you'll see more about that below.

What were we told to expect? We were getting the benefit of three things.

➡ Award-Winning Mixologist Rob Green's juicy creation and deliciously nutritious line of cold pressed juices — Juggernaut (my fave, fave, favorite), KaPOW, POM BOM, and Blue Steel — all with uniquely blended flavors for their own distinctive taste. Smart guy this Rob, he got them just right!

➡ Each juice was used in it's own cocktail. Yep, these were really good too and since they were healthy and perfect for rehydrating. they make the perfect mixer. I should point out something very important here. Rob had huge jars on the bar filled to the brim, and we all know when you see something like that you're thinking it's time to paaartaaay!  We were welcome to have as many drinks as we wanted but to make sure we had options and that we drank responsibly, Rob also had mocktails going around too. I definitely sampled his signature cocktails, but that dang juice is so good I didn't need to juice up my juice!

➡ Each was paired and used for Chef M's inspiration for all the bites! Yep, she did her normal dance in the kitchen and had us all going back for seconds and thirds. They were all really good.

Smash Cold Pressed Juices

You can't go wrong no matter which one you choose. And they make awesome cocktails!

Orange, Pineapple, Coconut Water, Turmeric, Ginger, Raw Honey

Rob's Smash Juices all taste really good, but my favorite is the Juggernaut. My second favorite are the rest of his flavors! But, there's something about the Juggernaut's combination of flavors that literally have me craving it. I've got to get off my butt and get to the Marietta Square Farmers Market on Saturday! If you're in the area, you should definitely make a point to pick some up. I guarantee you'll be back the following week for more or ordering it from SmashMixes.com.

...but, I have plans for his video along with Melissa's and Trilogy Cigars'. Separate posts to tell you who all 3 of these are. I love the story behind the story. Rob's busting him rump with his juice venture, Melissa has a ton going on, and Trilogy Cigars, well, they definitely have a story too.
Coming soon!

💡 Healthy Deliciousness in a Bottle!

I can't forget to tell you about a few things.

  1. The bites that Chef Melissa Pelkey Hass prepared for this event were absolutely delicious. She and Rob are partners in a catering business — Off the Eaten Path and they are rockin' it!
  2. Yoo On the Park is a pretty amazing place and it was perfect for this event. When you enter the lobby you're wowed with the decor.
  3. And then! There were the cigar guys with their signature cigars and cigarellos! Great guys and it was very clear how much they love what they do. Trilogy Cigar Lounge, located at 375-B Luckie St. NW Atlanta, GA 30313, where you can choose your cigar, or cigars, your choice of whiskey, and order dinner. Rob had strategically placed signature  cigars at each bites station, all different from the other and from what I was told each also paired with the bites and drinks. I enjoyed all the cigars I came home with, but I really dig the cigarellos they sent me out the door with. I still have 3 left and I have plans for each one! Probably the same plan for each, but none the less a plan! Me, one of the honey cigarillos, a lounge chair, music playing, maybe even a candle or two, and I can't decide on wine or smooth whiskey. Maybe I'll mx it up.

~Straight from their website.

In greek, Trilogy means a set of three works of art that are connected. Our curated menu pairs chef-prepared locally-sourced, seasonal dishes with a craft cocktail or wine, and a cigar, for the ultimate flavor experience trifecta. We design a new pairing menu every couple of months so we can consistently offer our guests something new to try. Menu items also offered a la carte."
