What do Sprouts, the Atlanta Food Bloggers' Society & the Kitchen Sink have in common? Chef Tregaye Fraser!

My feet hit the floor early in the morning. I have my BIG cup of coffee and my Sprouts cranberry orange muffin (SO GOOD!) I plop down on the edge of the sofa seat and open the laptop. First stop, YouTube for my kickstarter — I Am the Fire by Halestorm! If you don't know this song, introduce yourself. It's a motivator like no other! Oh, and turn it up! Disclosure: My favorite band is AC/DC, so... but then again I'm in love with Smash Mouth's I'm a Believer.

I love it when I'm scrolling down my email and see, "You're Invited!" What was so special about this particular message? It was from Diego Romero of course! As far as I'm concerned, he's the guru of customer relations and PR at Sprouts! Thank you so much for the invite Diego! It was a phenomenal media event! And holding it at the Cook's Warehouse... well, one of my absolute favorite stores! Loved it all! btw... that's Diego right down there.

Just like hundreds of thousands of others I'm in love with Food Network. I'm especially fond of their competition shows. My fondness goes up more than a few notches when they have competitors from the Atlanta area! Meet Chef Tregaye Fraser.

Self-employed mom and seasoned chef — and one of Atlanta's very own — Chef Tregaye Fraser combines her skills learned from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu with her love for fusion cuisine and her youthful soul. Her rich cuisine background lead her to Food Network Star season 12's competition where she took home the crown! She won! Where did that take her next? To an even busier life and the co-host of Kitchen Sink.

With her bubbly personality and positive attitude, Tregaye put on a Cooking Fresh Seafood with Sprouts demonstration for local influential bloggers. Yep! Some think I'm one of those. Crazy right?!

Crab Cakes with Cajun Remoulade and Shrimp Grit Cakes with Lobster Cream Sauce welcomed me when I walked in. And, let me tell you something. I am picky about seafood, and shrimp and grits and anything lobster are at the top of my list. Along with scallops, can't forget the scallops.Chef walked us through how to make her signature Shrimp and Grit Cakes, her Jicama Salad, how she prepares corn for her Grilled Basil Parmesan and Mango Guacamole, and two Fish Taco Lettuce Wraps — cod and mahi-mahi. She then broke us bloggers up into groups and threw us in the kitchen for our own food competition! Nope, my team didn't win.
